Renewable energy company Solarlec is bouncing into spring after becoming an approved partner of global solar manufacturer LG.

The company was presented with the LG Installer Award 2014 by LG Electronics Deutschland last month following another successful 12 months working as a preferred supplier of the manufacturer’s solar panels.

Solarlec is one of just 200 carefully selected LG solar PV partners in Europe.

With offices in Burnley, Carlisle and Exeter plus energy advisors and in-house installers working all over the UK, Solarlec offers nationwide coverage to domestic and commercial customers.

LG is one of a number of leading suppliers to name Solarlec as an official partner – Solarlec also designs and specifies PV systems from manufacturers including Sharp, Panasonic and Sunpower.

Ged Rowbottom, director at Solarlec, said: “LG produce fantastic products and we are honoured to work alongside them as a trusted partner.

“LG’s solar panels are now tested to four times the recommended IEC standard which gives them an estimated 50-year lifespan with only 1.4% loss of performance over this period. This is phenomenal news for our customers and one of the many reasons we specify LG products time and time again.”

Michael Harre, vice president of LG’s EU Solar Business Group said: “We would like to warmly congratulate Solarlec for its extensive expertise, knowledge of the solar industry, excellent customer service and successful sale of LG products. We wish them every success in our future together.”

LG is aiming to further improve its product offering by bringing out ground breaking new technology in the form of a 320W panel later this year, with a 350W panel set to follow in 2016.
