Under the terms of the new agreement, Edmundson Electrical will now offer its customers Canadian Solar’s solar products which include its ELPS module. The ELPS technology enables three percent more light absorption per cell. As a result, ELPS modules can deliver up to seven percent more electricity than similar configuration conventional solar modules.
“Canadian Solar is dedicated to building long term relationships and to achieve this it is vital to find well established, trusted, regional players to work with,” said Andrew Fawcett, services procurement manager, Edmundson Electrical. “Edmundson Electrical fits that bill exactly, having a proven record of adding real value to its customers and demonstrating a clear understanding of the opportunities available in the solar market.”
The announcement follows the launch of Canadian Solar’s ‘Authorised Reseller Program’ earlier this year. Focused on Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the programme aims to provide partners like Edmundson Electrical with technical product training, professional sales and marketing support along with other benefits, designed to create value, increase sales and extend marketing reach to target customers.
“Despite the ongoing Feed-in-Tariff uncertainty, solar adoption continues to grow quickly in the UK as the cost reduces and ROI speeds up,” said Ivan Rubio, general manager EMEA, Canadian Solar. “Resellers in the industry need to be providing the best range of solar electrical equipment around to take advantage of this interest and we think our reseller program offers a highly viable and worthwhile solution. We look forward to building a long term relationship with Edmundson Electrical, which will create value and open up new business opportunities for both parties.”
