For decades we have been supplying utility meters to process industries, helping our customers to achieve a mass and energy balance for utilities such as steam, compressed air, natural gas and water. Six flow measuring technologies – magnetic, vortex, Coriolis, thermal mass, DP flow and ultrasonic – allow us to select the appropriate technique for the application. More recently we have added electricity meters to our range.
As the market-leading manufacturer of vortex meters we have unrivalled capabilities in steam metering. Our instruments offer superior vibration and temperature shock immunity as well as protection against the effects of water hammer. We have recently built a world-class steam research and development facility at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland in Windisch. This rig has been used to develop a new range of vortex meters, the Prowirl 200, offering wet steam detection and measurement from dryness fraction 80-100%.
We can also help to integrate all measurements into your existing infrastructure using a variety of protocols, or alternatively we can provide stand-alone data collection solutions in the form of low-cost loggers and gateways that can be wired or wireless. This energy interval data can either be sent to your existing software or we can provide complete software solutions. Our own energy management software, eSight, has proved its worth at our headquarters in Manchester, saving over 10% of energy use and, for the third year running, receiving the energy management standard accreditation ISO 50001.
