Flogas Britain Ltd has announced a new partnership with Peacock Engineering, a class-leading specialist in Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solutions to maintain and manage assets across Flogas’ 34 sites in UK & Ireland including the LPG storage terminal in development at Avonmouth.

The two companies have worked together for several years and this latest five-year partnership is to scale up Flogas Britain’s cloud-based EAM solution to support its ambitious expansion plans.

Flogas Britain has more UK depots than any other LPG supplier, providing LPG, LNG, Autogas and innovative solutions like carbon offsetting, to off-grid homes and businesses throughout England, Scotland and Wales.

As Flogas Britain continues to grow, Peacock Engineering will deliver a cloud-based EAM solution from IBM Maximo together with Fingertip, its own mobile EAM solution to ensure the continuous reliable management, maintenance, and compliance of Flogas Britain’s assets across all its sites including Avonmouth.

Using IBM Maximo in integration with Fingertip, Flogas Britain’s maintenance and engineering teams will digitally capture asset data on any site, from any location and on any asset, for continuous asset analysis and surveillance. By integrating data back into Maximo, the team can predict when maintenance is due on assets such as tanks, valves and pumps, reducing downtime and increasing productivity, while keeping a digital trail for regulatory compliance.

With Fingertip working offline in ATEX environments, Flogas Britain teams can also swiftly log data and raise work orders when in the field, to ensure that all assets constantly operate in line with stringent health and safety requirements.

Ivan Trevor, Financial Director from Flogas Britain said: “Flogas Britain is delighted to have renewed its commitment to Maximo with Peacock Engineering with this new contract. Having worked with the team at Peacock Engineering for a number of years, they’re an embedded partner who understand our business, and in IBM Maximo we have a trusted and resilient asset management solution, which allows us to maintain and develop our network with confidence.”

Alan Cambridge, CEO of Peacock Engineering added: “We’ve worked with Flogas Britain for many years so we were delighted when they asked us to scale up our asset management support in-line with their current and future expansion plans. Through smart use of the IBM Maximo system and the flexibility of Fingertip, we’ll help their field team get more from their assets and extend the useful lifecycle of their equipment, which will ensure ongoing efficient operations and compliance in-line with Flogas Britain’s growing operational needs.”
