A free half day seminar is to be held by Power Efficiency on 29th June at London’s Royal Albert Hall which is aimed at owners and managers of arts venues and theatres throughout the UK.
The seminar will cover a range of topics and introduce venues to the possibility of joining the Arts Basket – a collective energy procurement service run on behalf of the Royal Opera House, the National Theatre and the Royal Albert Hall. The Arts Basket is open for other theatre and arts venues throughout the UK to apply to join.

Energy procurement – Power Efficiency will outline the pros and cons of fixed price and flexible price energy supply contracts and explain its predictions for what is likely to happen with energy prices over the next ten years.
Carbon compliance – It will explain what steps theatres can take to reduce their carbon footprint and ensure full compliance with the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme.
Operations and Maintenance (O&M) – looking after key assets in the built environment like heating, air conditioning and ventilation (HVAC) can be costly. The seminar will explain what kind of maintenance programme arts venues and theatres should consider running to get maximum value and ROI out of its key energy assets.
Financing energy efficiency – it will explain the financing options available which make energy efficiency projects relatively easy to capitalise.
