Edward Davey MP, the new secretary of state for energy and climate change, is to visit Cheshire on 29th March to learn about some of the latest developments in power technology and talk with members of Britain’s electricity industry about delivery of the government’s Green Agenda.

The visit will be hosted by EA Technology, the employee owned power engineering specialist based in Capenhurst, which set up the Energy Innovation Centre in 2008 to deliver new greener technologies for the power industry and its customers.

Following a tour of EA Technology, Davey will hold a roundtable discussion at the Capenhurst site with representatives of the UK’s electricity distribution companies, to discuss their roles. He will subsequently visit Greater Manchester.
