Politicians, scientists and the energy industry now agree as never before: renewable energies are the ideal solution for a secure energy system in Europe and worldwide. In 2020, for the first time, renewables overtook fossil fuels as the EU’s main power source accounting for 38% of EU electricity (fossil fuels 37 % and nuclear 25 %). This is shown in an analysis by Ember and Agora Energiewende.

The end of the fossil era is approaching, but there are still some challenges to overcome on the way to 100% renewables.

EM-Power Europe Conference: The grids of the future are smart

How will private, commercial and industrial solar and storage systems be integrated into the grid of the future? What strategies can be used to sensibly integrate the increasing e-mobility into this grid? What flexibility services can balance supply and demand in a system with volatile renewable energies? And how will consumers be motivated to behave in a system-optimizing manner?

Those attending the EM-Power Europe Conference on May 10–11, 2022 in Munich will receive answers to these questions. Renowned industry experts will talk about the challenges, solutions and visions for the integration of renewable energies into the power grid. On the podium, they will discuss how renewable power can be distributed efficiently by flexible smart grids. The event will have a practical focus: Many international utility and energy service companies will give presentations on specific projects and report on their experiences.

EM-Power Europe brings the new energy world together

The EM-Power Europe Conference is the conference event of the EM-Power Europe exhibition. The international exhibition for energy management and integrated energy solutions will take place parallel to the three energy exhibitions Intersolar Europe, ees Europe, and Power2Drive Europe at Messe München from May 11–13, 2022.

As part of The smarter E Europe, EM-Power Europe is all about efficiently combining solar energy and other renewable sources of energy with storage technology and e-mobility. It focuses on decentralized, renewable energy supply, smart grids, electricity trading and marketing, energy management, and smart buildings and neighborhoods, among other topics.

EM-Power Europe delivers the ideal technological solutions and services and showcases ways to achieve a decentralized, sustainable and future-oriented renewable energy supply. Numerous start-ups will present their innovations here. In addition, EM-Power Europe supports companies on their way to climate neutrality. In the Special Area for Climate-Neutral Companies at EM-Power Europe, experts will be on hand to explain how emissions can be calculated, reduced and offset. The topic will also be addressed at the EM-Power Forum under the title Exit Strategies – How Companies Can Become Climate-Neutral.

Other key presentation topics of the EM-Power Forum include sector coupling for buildings and districts, smart grids and grid infrastructure. In addition, the EM-Power Forum will feature practical demonstrations: The winners of The smarter E AWARD will present their pioneering projects here.

EM-Power Europe is geared toward public and private utility companies, energy managers, planners and consultants, professional energy customers and prosumers working in the commercial, industrial and real estate sectors, and municipalities.

Help shape the new energy world at EM-Power Europe! We look forward to welcoming you in Munich from May 11-13.
